Our Donors
The North Simcoe Catholic Family Life Centre receives its main funding
through Catholic Charities and ShareLife.
Additional funding is received for special projects and programming.
- Quick Access, a counselling program, receives funding from the
United Way of Simcoe County.
- Dedicated Dads, a parenting program for fathers, is funded for
programs of children 0-6 through the Ontario Government's Early Years
Challenge Fund.
Our Funds are used for:
People from all over North Simcoe of all faiths and backgrounds come to
the Centre for help to improve relationships between couples, between
parents and children and for individuals in distress. Through Professional
Counseling and Family Life Education and Community Development activities
our goal is to enhance healthy Family Life throughout our community. Our
programs extend to schools, corporations and community groups and are open
to all especially the poor, homeless and marginalized, and those caught in
a cycle of anger and violence.
Why Donate?
As a non-profit organization core funding is never enough to cover the
needs of the Centre. Community donations are required to subsidize
counselling fees (which are on a sliding scale based on income). This
allows us to give support to families touched by depression and suicide;
assist victims of child abuse find joy in adulthood; give struggling
couples and families hope, and guide youth through the pitfalls of
adolescence. Donations may also be used for new technology, building
improvements and equipment.
Ways of Giving
Your generous gifts allow us to enhance our programs.
Direct Giving
A donation of any amount will be greatly appreciated. Send donation to
(agency address) and a charitable donation tax receipt will be sent to you
for any amount over $5.00
Planned Giving
A planned gift is a charitable donation provided for during a donor's
lifetime but until sometime in the future. The Planned Giving program
encourages donors to consider the possibility of supporting The North
Simcoe Catholic Family Life Centere through, for example, a will or as a
beneficiary of life insurance.
Endowments.
You could establish a designated endowment Fund with the Huronia
Communities Foundation (http://www.huroniacommunities.com) designated for
the North Simcoe Catholic Family Life Centre. This type of fund gives the
donor the opportunity to specify, at the time the fund is established,
which particular charity they would like to support in perpetuity. It is a
way your money is perpetually working for you. It is invested in an
endowment and only the interest is used for particular charitable
programs.
